Over 200 UT college students from all engineering fields and several other non-science domains work throughout 18 engineering groups and 4 enterprise groups to design, take a look at, market and construct business relationships. 

TREL is a collaboration between Firefly Academy and UT’s Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics division supposed to compete within the Base 11 House Problem. This problem provided a $1 million prize to the primary college staff that efficiently launched a liquid-propelled, single-stage rocket to the Karman Line. What began as a bunch of 17 college students has since grown right into a lab of over 200 UT college students. 

The rocket we’re growing, Halcyon, stands over 30 ft tall and is powered by Havoc — the second iteration of essentially the most superior collegiate rocket engine.
