UF IFAS Extension/Escambia County will maintain three simultaneous tree giveaways later this month in celebration of Florida’s Arbor Day.
The tree giveaways will happen from 10 a.m. till midday (or whereas provides final) on Saturday January 21 on the Molino, Bellview and Tryon branches of the West Florida Regional Libraries.
Every Escambia County family represented will obtain two free native bushes. Species obtainable embody reside oak, dahoon holly, mayhaw, and Walter’s viburnum. Funding for the tree giveaways is supplied by Escambia County Pure Assets Administration Division and Worldwide Paper, with volunteer help from Our Nook (previously Maintain Pensacola Lovely), the Florida Forest Service, and Escambia County Grasp Gardeners.
Escambia County Extension will even host their seventh annual Arbor Day Artwork Contest this yr.
